This fabric originates in the Casentino Valley, nestled amidst the pristine mountains of the Tuscan Apennines, surrounded by woods and meadows. Here, sheep have been traditionally raised, producing the ideal wool for the artisans of Casentino.
1848 – Marks the inception of the production of traditional Casentino fabric. Evolving from a simple textile used by lumberjacks and shepherds, the fabric begins to gain appreciation from distinguished figures in high society, including the renowned composers Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini.
1930 – Casentino fabrics find their way into countries with rich textile traditions, such as France.
1960 – Audrey Hepburn, an icon of elegance in "Breakfast at Tiffany's," wears an orange coat crafted by a famous French designer using Casentino fabric. Thanks to this film, the fabric attains global recognition and becomes a must-have in international fashion.

2000 – At the beginning of the third millennium, traditional and artisanal products, which had been set aside in the previous two decades, are rediscovered. Fabrics produced in Casentino, crafted from the finest yarns, experience a revival and once again become reference products.
2010 – Casentino 1848 is born, preserving and inheriting all the textile expertise from nearly two centuries of history and heritage of exceptional cultural value.
2017 – Casentino 1848 collaborates exclusively with Lollipet for the production of garments and accessories for pets.
